What is Our Grand Tales™?
Our Grand Tales™ creates custom children’s storybooks using your personal memories and photos. By answering a few simple questions and uploading favorite images, we turn your life story into a beautifully written and illustrated book for your grandchild.
Who are these books for?
Our books are most often created by grandparents—especially grandmothers—who want to preserve their memories and family stories for their grandchildren. They also make meaningful gifts from parents to children or to the grandparent.
Do I need to write the story myself?
No. You do not need to write anything.
We use the memories and details you share to craft the story for you. Our team handles the writing, layout, and illustration process.
What kind of photos can I upload?
You may upload:

Scans of old photographs

Clear photos taken with your phone of printed pictures
Old photos are absolutely welcome. We enhance and illustrate them to bring your story to life.
How many photos do I need?
You are required to upload three photos to get started.
You may upload up to nine photos total if you’d like.
More photos give us more material to work with, but they are optional.
What information will I be asked to provide?
You’ll answer a few questions about:

The process is simple and guided, and most customers complete it in about 10–15 minutes.
What does the finished book include?
Each Our Grand Tales™ book includes:

A custom written story based on your memories

Illustrations created from your photos

A 6x6 glossy hardcover book with 20 pages

A digital proof for your approval before printing
Can I review the book before it is printed?
Yes.
You will receive a digital PDF proof of your book before it goes to print. This allows you to review the story, layout, and illustrations.
Can I request changes to the proof?
Yes. You may request one round of revisions via detailed email feedback noting page numbers and concern after reviewing your initial proof. We will then send an updated proof for your approval.
What if I don’t approve the second proof?
If the second proof still doesn’t feel right, you may cancel your order and receive a $100 partial refund.
Once the final proof is approved, the book moves into production and all sales are final.
How long does the process take?
The writing, illustration and layout process can take up to 3-4 weeks.
After you approve your final proof, printing and shipping take approximately 1-2 weeks.
For a total process of ~4-6 weeks
You will receive tracking information once your book ships.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. All Our Grand Tales™ books include free shipping.
Can I order additional copies?
Yes.
Many customers choose to order extra copies to share with family. We offer bulk pricing for additional copies of the same book ordered together:

Are these books appropriate for young children?
Yes. Our stories are written to be age-appropriate, warm, and comforting for young grandchildren. They are designed to be read aloud and enjoyed as bedtime stories.
Will my photos and personal information be kept private?
Yes.
Your photos and personal information are used only to create your book. We do not sell or share your content. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details.
Do you use artificial intelligence to create the books?
We use a combination of professional writing, design tools, and AI-assisted technology to help craft each story. Every book is crafted & reviewed before delivery to ensure quality and care.
Can I give this as a gift?
Absolutely.
Many customers create Our Grand Tales™ books as gifts for birthdays, holidays, or special family milestones. You may include a gift message inside the book if you write it into the dedication question.
